During his service, Mr. Klein was stationed in Japan, where he bore witness to the aftermath of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki—a profound and historical observation that shaped his understanding of wartime impacts. He also served in Alaska, supporting defense operations in the region. Military service was a proud family tradition for Mr. Klein. Four of his uncles served in World War II, and his uncle Henry Roth was a valued member of the Biola Congregational Church, symbolizing the family’s strong commitment to faith and service.
