Albert Huber served honorably in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, dedicating over three years to supporting the Coast Guard's mission. Enlisting in June 1942, Albert began training in Salt Lake City and soon after completed specialized training to serve as a Yeoman. His administrative skills were invaluable, assisting in the smooth operations of the Coast Guard's work.

Albert was stationed at the Coos Bay Patrol Base in Oregon, where he rose to become a 1st Class Petty Officer. His expertise and reliability in his role as Yeoman earned him the respect of his peers and superiors. By the war's end, Albert had completed training for promotion to Chief Petty Officer, a testament to his dedication and proficiency. However, his promotion to the higher rank was not formally instated with the war's end. He received his honorable discharge in December 1945 as Yeoman 1st Class.

This rank typically requires several years of experience and demonstrated expertise, and it often involves leadership responsibilities, including training and supervising junior personnel.
